Happy New Year 2012!

I’ll start with – HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012! (yes I know its well into Jan now)

 

So its been another year:

 

            Its been 12 months since we moved into our new house and my studio is finally shaping into a space I can work in. General renovations continue…

 

            I started a lot of projects, some inspired/distracted me to start other projects, some I even finished! ;)

 

            I’ve started designing and making plushies again, something I’ve loved doing since my mother taught me to sew as a little girl – photos soon :)

 

            Helped my friend set up and open her gallery in South Gippsland – it was a huge task but working on it together was surprisingly fun! I’m looking forward to taking a holiday and invading her studio again soon :) Maybe even exhibiting…

 

            And lots and lots of other things…

 

This year I will continue to try and overcome my deep suspicious of the internet and be more active posting here and submitting my work to other sites.

 

I also have started to redesign my website to better present my work.

 

I hope your year has gotten off to a good start.

Hi Folks :)

 I just managed to finish my entry for the NY Comic Con Character Design Competition on Redbubble before the deadline last night. Here's a sneak peek of  the character I designed ......DRAYD!

Age: Unknown
Description & Know Abilities:
-Female, plant-based life form.
-Seemingly immortal, rapid regenerating healing – if critically injured she can reduce herself into a dormant protective “seed”.
-Able to alter her form into that of any plant-like make-up. Shape changing can result in different mass and size.
-The spontaneous generation and manipulation of vegetation.
-Chemical attacks include toxins resulting in hallucinations, itching, paralysis, numbing and even death.
-More obvious defences include thorny spines, projectile barbs, superdense hard wood armour, trapping leaf cacoons and vines.
-Full extent of powers unknown…
