Dr. Sketchy's Life Drawing

I'm a bit slow putting this up but a few weeks ago I went to another Burlesque style Life Drawing class in the city called Dr. Sketchy's Anti Art School. Its the second "class" I've attended and I would highly recommend it. Its very relaxed and fun, the models (that I've seen) are lovely and really in the burlesque spirit.

This picture was part of the competition at the end (chosen by the model and the rest of the class) and won me a neat little book of photographs from the International London Burlesque Festival (2008).

The model started the class with a burlesque routine as a sassy 50's house wife with great laundry themed props, authentic point bra and everything!

She changed at the interval to a sort of Wine Maiden/Goddess...

My love of Alphonse Mucha's Art Nouveau style seems to have crept in with the costume change. I still feel horribly out of practice but it was a really fun afternoon of drawing and I will definitely be going again!
