Inspired by the work of George Petty and WWII nose art, I’m experimenting with painting directly on to metal. The painting is on a new-made-to-look-old tin sign that I sanded and distressed myself.
Those of you with a keen eye and a knowledge of popular video games might be able to guess what she is promoting.

From a very rough thumbnail this painting, along with her story developed very quickly. I found inking the tiny plant details very soothing.
The two sides represent his different performance styles and the surrounding elements inspired by traditional playing card motifs mixed with symbols based on his music.
Month of Love Challenge : Weapons
“Love is war: choose your Weapon.”
Eros, the winged Greek god of love, desire, embodies sexual power. Armed with golden bow and arrows he interferes with the lives of gods and mortals.
The finished plush is roughly 8 inches long (not including tail) and stands 12 inches tall including her horn. She is made from soft fleece with felt appliqué detail for the shooting star, eyes and mouth. The design also includes 3D eyelashes made from foam and plasticard re-enforced hooves.
Our model was Lorelle Rogue, alternative model and aerialist, striking beautiful poses with her silks.
