Princess Leia Art Nouveau Portrait
A quick Princess Leia drawing done as a thank you present at the end of last year. I will be taking commissions like this soon! Copic pens on bristol board.

The Opal Knight -Raven hair woven with pearls, armour shimmering like mother of pearl in the sun, armed with a sword that’s blade swirls with opal fire. Do not be dazzled by her. Do not be fooled by delicacy and grace. She is harder than stone and swifter than lightning.
Finished ink drawing with some photoshop edits. Inspired by traditional Armenian costume and pattern.

Thank you all for following along and for all your support! ♥
Drawings from Week 2 of #inktober2017. I’m trying not to spend too long on these drawing. Including re-reading the story/summary, research, rough sketch and finished ink I am spending less then 2 hrs on each.
Day 8: The Twelve Dancing Princesses
Day 9: The Frog Prince
Day 10: The Little Mermaid
Day 11: The Emperor’s New Clothes
Day 12: The Princess and the Pea
Day 13: Little Red Riding Hood
Day 14: Thumbelina
I decided to keep going with the PITT pens. Even the smallest one doesn’t have a very fine point so I can’t spend too long adding in tiny details.
#Inktober2017 Week 1
This year I’ve chosen ‘Fairytales’ as my theme. Some I know very well and some I am enjoying learning more about as I do them.
Day 1: Beauty and the Beast
Day 2: Cinderella
Day 3: The Ugly Duckling
Day 4: Rumpelstiltskin
Day 5: The Snow Queen
Day 6: Hansel and Gretel
Day 7: Snow White
For theses drawings I’ve been experimenting with some PITT pens I received as a gift and a cheap Japanese calligraphy brush pen. I have been enjoying the PITT brush pen and the calligraphy brush but I can’t get the fine line quality I want from the felt tips. I’m torn between sticking with them for consistency or going back to by trusty micro pens.
This is the last “Character” illustration I did for the Twisted rulebook. The ability was “Loyal” describing how and when a loyal character can assist in combat.
“he would brook no assault on his master…”
My idea was that this old hunter would rely on his clockwork falcon to scout and retrieve for him. Having only one hand his crossbow arm has many chambers of darts eliminating the need to frequently reload.
Next I will share my drawings for page ornaments that also were included in the rulebook. Like all of these characters, the drawings for them were done traditionally.
One of the ink drawings I did for Demented Games – “Dual Fire” from the Twised:A Steampunk Skirmish Game Rulebook.
“Some combatants carry more than one pistol or have a weapon capable of firing rapidly. This can ensure quite substantial damage is done quickly but the recoil can be difficult to manage.”
I really enjoyed getting to illustrate these traits and designing characters to represent the ideas. Not fast on his feet but he is fast on the draw, he is the gunslinger of the London underground.
As well as designing the game title logo I did a number of small ink drawings for the “Twisted: A Steampunk Skirmish Game” rulebook.
Set in streets and sewers of an alternative Victorian London there is a mix of Art Nouveau beauty, danger, magic and mystery. This character was inspired by the attribute “Razor Sharp”, she is a spider-like multi-armed knifethrower.
“Some blades are wickedly sharp and will slice through flesh with ease.”
