Oz Comic-Con Melbourne 2018

I wanted to share some photos from last weekend Oz Comic-con and say a big thank everyone who came by to support me with their kind words and purchasing my work

I did my first playmat con sketch and got an amazing Space Dandy sketch from Jeffrey Cruz “Chamba” for my partner James to say thank you for all his help.

My sister, Maggie had her Comic con debut sharing my table selling her handmade and gloriously sparkly one of a kind earrings – Check out her work at Showgirl Pearls

Thank you OZ ComicCon

Supanova Melb 2016 – Wrap-up

I had another great time exhibiting at Supanova Melbourne this past weekend.

The lead up is stressful and show itself is exhausting but as always I am left feeling inspired, encouraged and part of a wonderful group of people.

This show was particularly special as I was able to meet an artist I’ve admired since I was 13 yrs old, Ashley Wood. Sadly he had completely sold out of all his toys and books before I was able to get back to his table. But I did get to have something I value more, a brief conversation together about doing what you love not what is safe and nothing you do as an artist is a mistake.

I met so many new lovely people both attending and exhibiting. It was especially nice to meet Paul and Claire from Weta workshop who are organising the upcoming White Cloud Worlds: The Art & Industry of Imagination Conference & Exhibition.  I very much look forward to catching up with them in NZ!

One of the absolute highlights of the weekend was getting together Saturday night for dinner with art friends both old and new.

Planning for the future I had a lot of people interested in an artbook/sketchbook of my work and seeing me continue my series of prints. I also had friends and customers cheer on my desire to produce my own comic and upcoming illustrated fairytale collaboration.

I have to thank my partner, James I could not do these events without you and to all my friends that support me!
