Twisted: A Steampunk Skirmish Game Rulebook Illustrations – “Razor Sharp”

As well as designing the game title logo I did a number of small ink drawings for the “Twisted: A Steampunk Skirmish Game” rulebook.

Set in streets and sewers of an alternative Victorian London there is  a mix of Art Nouveau beauty, danger, magic and mystery. This character was inspired by the attribute “Razor Sharp”, she is a spider-like multi-armed knifethrower.

Some blades are wickedly sharp and will slice through flesh with ease.”

Bishoujo Edward Scissorhands Life Drawing Session

A week ago to I taught my last Covert Characters Life Drawing class for the year and I couldn’t have asked for a better night! Friends and familiar faces were there and  Silhouettê d’Amour was fantastic as Bishoujo Edward Scissorhands.

I really enjoyed experimenting with watercolor pencil and water brush at the last life drawing class I attended so I thought I would try some more. I like how quickly I can brush in some shading and darken shadows by drawing over the top.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Life Drawing

Drawing from our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party life drawing session at the start of the month. Hamish brings so much energy and character into his posses.

Reminder: This Wed August 30th will be the last class I will be teaching for the year! We have the lovely  Silhouettê d’Amour,  model and amazing cosplayer,  posing as Bishoujo Edward Scissorhands! So join us for an evening of art and fun!

James Bond 007 Themed Life Drawing Night

Another great night of life drawing with Covert Characters! Our model John was both the dynamic hero and sophisticated man of mystery. We continue our movie themed classes with a tribute to “The Wild Ones” next Wednesday night. The beautiful Tijana will be playing Marlon Brando with her motorcycle! Yes there will be a motorcycle inside the studio for you to draw 🙂

Watch My OZ Comic-Con Workshop on Twitch

I had a great time at Oz Comic-Con this weekend! Thank you to everyone that came by my table and supported me with your kind words and purchases.

Like every event I could not make it through without my wonderful helpers and friends <3 I am especially grateful to my sister and Ben for coming to help on Sunday when I did my first ever workshop.  That is a photo of me doing last minute revision and notes for my presentation looking deceptively calm.

If you are interested in seeing my workshop the video is available to watch on Twitch through the link below:
