Do you need a Little Groot in your life?
I have 2 new Little Groot Plush toys for sale at Oz Comic-Con Melbourne this weekend!
These are my own design and handmade by me for the convention. They are made from cream fleece with quality green fabric paint shading. The eye detail and leaves are hand cut felt. They have black plastic safety eyes and hand embroidered smiles.
The stand about 21cm tall which is roughly what I could estimate as”life size” from GotG2.
New Ripley/Alien Print!
This piece is for my dear friend Ellen- keep going, keep fighting.
I wanted try to create a tribute to the 1979 Alien film but I felt that the soft romantic Art Nouveau style that I love wouldn’t be appropriate. But the style of Aubrey Beardsley and H.R. Giger’s Xenomorphs had a certain harmony.
Knowing that both artist studied architecture I found inspiration for the composition in the depictions of St George in church windows.
I will have a limited number of A3 posters of this piece at Oz Comic-con Melbourne on July 1-2. Find me at Table 66 near the “Comic District”.
This idea started out as a concept for a new web banner combining symbols from classic fairytales. As I work on it more it developed into its own story of a fairy thief and a magic glowing jewel.
I slowly worked on inking this image a bit at a time in a quiet moment or two as a way to relax amongst all of the events of the last few months.
I still need to make a new web banner but I enjoyed the journey this piece took.
***SOLD***
This cute little thief loves to collect shiny treasure and comes holding on to his newest find, a bright gold coin. Inspired by the fantasy creature Nifflers from Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter this plush sits at approx. 22cm (8 ½ inches) tall and 15cm (6 inches) at the widest part of the body. His small size makes him perfect to hold and squeezable polyfill stuffing makes him great to cuddle.
The Niffler is made from soft black and light pink fleece with back plastic safety eyes and hand-stitched nose holes. He holds in his paws a oversized plastic gold coin securely attached to each arm.
Please note that the other coins and shiny beads in the photos are for decorative purposes and are not included with the plush.
All of my plush toys are made with love in a smoke free home.
Each plush is carefully package in a cotton drawstring bag, boxed and sent via Australia Post. Tracking on international postage is available.

Made from quality tan fleece with black plastic safety eyes and filled with squeezable soft polyfil stuffing. The leaves and green body stripe/vine are made from light green felt. The white pot base is filled with plastic pellet “beans” to give it weight and stability.
Being handmade there are slight differences between each toy.

I designed and made this cute little Godzilla plush as a Christmas present for a friend who has everything. The plush would be roughly 30cm tall (I forgot to measure the finished plush once it was finished) made from grey-ish green fleece with grey felt claws and back spikes. There are plastic “beans” in the feet and bottom to help him sit up right and give him weight. The eyes are made with embroidered gold glitter felt.
I am thinking of simplifying this pattern to make smaller Godzilla plushies to sell in my shop and at my upcoming events.
I was honoured to be asked to create a pair of Lion Dance plushies for a friend’s sister’s wedding. I am particularly proud of these toys, not only because I think they turned out really well but because I had only a week to make them both!
Made in lucky red and gold they are approx. 20cm long based on my existing pattern but with extra large heads to make them more “chibi”.
Like the previous lions they have silver faux leather mirrors on their foreheads and red felt “fringe” embroidered on the body and legs.
For these plushies I included extra pom pom details to the nose and head. The feet have been re-enforced with plasticard for balance and stability.
The plush lions were presented to the bride and groom in a very special lion dance performance.
