Mini Baby Groot Plush Toys For Sale

I have four (4) new Mini Baby Groots ready to find new homes. They are the perfect size to decorate a desk or as a cute companion in your spaceship.

For Sale Now on my Etsy Shop >

Each one is approx. 18cm high (7 inches) inspired by the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy” character Baby Groot.

Made from quality tan fleece with black plastic safety eyes and filled with squeezable soft polyfil stuffing. The leaves and green body stripe/vine are made from light green felt. The white pot base is filled with plastic pellet “beans” to give it weight and stability.

Being handmade there are slight differences between each toy.

All of my plush creations are made with love in a smoke free home.

Each plush is carefully package in a cotton drawstring bag, boxed and sent via Australia Post. Tracking on international postage is available.

Please contact me through my Etsy Shop if you have any questions regarding shipping.

Godzilla Plush

I designed and made this cute little Godzilla plush as a Christmas present for a friend who has everything. The plush would be roughly 30cm tall (I forgot to measure the finished plush once it was finished) made from grey-ish green fleece with grey felt claws and back spikes. There are plastic “beans” in the feet and bottom to help him sit up right and give him weight. The eyes are made with embroidered gold glitter felt.

I am thinking of simplifying this pattern to make smaller Godzilla plushies to sell in my shop and at my upcoming events.

Pair of Red & Gold Wedding Lion Dance Plush Toys

I was honoured to be asked to create a pair of Lion Dance plushies for a friend’s sister’s wedding. I am particularly proud of these toys, not only because I think they turned out really well but because I had only a week to make them both!

Made in lucky red and gold they are approx. 20cm long based on my existing pattern but with extra large heads to make them more “chibi”.
Like the previous lions they have silver faux leather mirrors on their foreheads and red felt “fringe” embroidered on the body and legs.
For these plushies I included extra pom pom details to the nose and head. The feet have been re-enforced with plasticard for balance and stability.

The plush lions were presented to the bride and groom in a very special lion dance performance.

Beautiful Monsters Watercolors – Werewolf

Two dear friends (thank you Ellen and Dave) have encouraged me to start up my “Beautiful Monsters” watercolor series again after abandoning it a few years ago. I had planned out the paintings but never saw them through. The concept for “Werewolf” made an appearance in my Inktober sketches this year.

And now the completed painting joins “Vampire” and “Siren”. I have two other monsters from my initial sketches that I hope will be realized soon.

Grumbacher watercolors, micron pen on 300gm fine grain cold pressed.

Covert Characters Life Drawing Tribal Punk Session with Ameena

The last Covert Characters Life Drawing for Oct was high fashion meets Mad Max for a Tribal Punk Session. The slim and serene Ameena posed for us in a beautiful handmade feather mohawk crafted by our host Cindy. We supplied and combined the costume pieces to create the unique look for the session.

Bonus Inktober 2016 Time lapse Video !

Bonus Inktober 2016 Time lapse Video!

I wasn’t able to get this video posted before the end of Oct but I thought I would still share it. Learning from my first video – the camera is moved to my left side so the drawing isn’t covered by my hand and I’ve tried to have more light. Nearly all of my inktober drawing were done after I finished everything else for the day meaning they were done often late into the night.

The video has been sped up 16x to show a little over half and hour of inking. My tools for all of my inktober drawings-Castell XF 0.7 mechanical pencil, Mircon pens on toned paper and A3 LED light pad.

I hope to share more process videos in the future and perhaps some tutorials as well.

Custom Bahamut Dragon Plush from FF7

This custom designed Bahamut plush dragon from Final Fantasy 7 is probably one of the most complicated plush toys I have made so far.

The plush is made from fleece and felt and stands at only 8 inch tall – roughly 12-13 inches tall including the wings and spikes.
He has glittery gold felt eyes and the claws are silvery grey. The wings are fully wired and pose-able and help the plush stand on its own. All the embroidery details have been done freehand by machine.

Inktober Day 31 – Ghoul (Back Dated)

*I was fairly certain that I posted it on the day but that post seems to have disappeared. So here it is again!*

#inktober2016 Day 31 – Ghoul

Hungry, the creature feasts on the long dead found in a forgotten tomb.

Happy Halloween!

With a mixture of relief and sadness another Inktober comes to an end. It was a challenge to find time to do a drawing each day but I am really pleased that I could see it through. As rushed as some of these drawing are I am happy with all of them. It has been great practice and really good to draw on paper everyday.
