Zatanna Commission
A commission from several months ago for a local collector who now has 2 of my favourite drawings. The Art Nouveau Death and now this Zatanna are his. I love being asked to interpret these characters and really design the whole page.
The original pieces are drawn directly into his designated character commission sketchbooks. These books are fill with great sketches from artist from around the world. Truly a treasure.

Art Nouveau Phoenix Print
A new print to add to my series of favourite women of X-men. These characters got me interested in comics and as a kid I always wished there were beautiful posters of them I could hang up in my room. Depicted as heroes to look up to not just sexy pin ups. So I am making them now.
Next in the series is Storm!
Covert Characters Life Drawing – From Dusk till Dawn Session

First life drawing session for 2018! Sketching the beautiful Ferri and Wanda the snake in From Dusk till Dawn Santanico Pandemonium tribute! Very rapid sketches because Wanda kept shifting positions. But a great challenge to shake off the rust.
Paintball Pin Up
A paintball pin up drawing birthday gift for a friend. I may clean up this drawing and color it to produce a limited run of stickers.
Sniper Wolf Metal Gear Solid
Sniper Wolf of Metal Gear Solid ink drawing done as a gift.
I know very little about these games except for one experience years ago of a cut scene so long we had time to make lunch, eat lunch and clean up before it finished.
I’m really happy with this drawing. Sometimes just a few lines suggesting shapes rather than illustrating lots of details really works.
Battle Chasers Red Monkia
Red Monkia – Pistol wielding charming outlaw from Joe Madureira’s Battle Chasers.
Joe Madureira’s art is a major reason why I started reading the X-Men comic books as a kid. His style has so much movement and when he drew characters they seemed to be more solid and more expressive. They reminded me more of animation, which I loved, then any other comic art I had seen at the time.
I’m not much for video games but I’m tempted to try Battle Chasers: Nightwar firstly because it looks amazing and secondly to final see his comic book characters move.
