#inktober2016 Day 11 – Sphinx
Lady Lioness lounges in a lush land.
#inktober2016 Day 10 – Pegasus
Great thundering flying horse of Olympus!
#inktober2016 Day 3 – Unicorn
The earliest recorded description of a Unicorn describes it something like a cross between a wild ass and a rhino. Not a dainty beast but a fearsome and swift Prehistoric Unicorn with a single black horn.
#inktober2016 Day 2 – Phoenix
Fiery Sun Heron God.
I think my theme this year is pretty obvious already.
Its Begins!
October is here and that means #Inktober 2016. I am aiming to do a drawing per day for the rest of the month. I have a brand new brown paper sketchbook to fill and my trusty micron pens along with some new brush pens – so lets do this!
He joined his sister, the Unicorn Mable Pines plush in his new home in May.
Inspired by the Gravity Falls character Dipper Pines this is a custom designed werewolf plush.
The completed plush stands roughly 6 inches tall (8-10 inches long to including his tail).
The plush includes the characters birthmark, hand-embroidered on his forehead under his hair.
He has machine embroidered appliqué eyes and felt claws.
Made from dark brown Minky fleece he is small but cuddly.
Each Raven is roughly 15 cm tall (6 inches) made from soft grey and black fleece. They have felt “beards” and eye surrounds. The polyfil stuffing makes them very plump and squeezable.
Both have name tags with hand-cut leather and bead charms.
Anyone interested in having a Raven of their own can contact me through my Esty shop.
I will be listing more unique handmade plush toys and prints in my shop in the next few weeks.
The finished plush is roughly 8 inches long (not including tail) and stands 12 inches tall including her horn. She is made from soft fleece with felt appliqué detail for the shooting star, eyes and mouth. The design also includes 3D eyelashes made from foam and plasticard re-enforced hooves.
He is made from soft grey, black and dark red fleece with matching red felt appliqué and embroidery details.
The squeezable fat belly is weighted with plastic pellets and the wings are wired to be poseable.
The left horn has 4 black metal hoop earrings – shown in the last image.
The plush ended up being slightly larger then I planned – approx. 14 inches nose to tail (36cm)
Wishing everyone a joyful and successful Year of the Fire Monkey! This year I missed going to the festivities in the city but did get to have a great BBQ with my family.
Saying good bye to the year of the Ram (or sheep)…
